Indya Moore

Isabella Cohn, the director of Watch You Rise, hired me as the personal photographer for her and Indya Moore over three days of events at the Halcyon Hotel in Denver, Colorado. Indya Moore, the film’s producer, is best known as Angel Evangelista on FX’s Pose and also appeared in Queen & Slim. In 2019, Indya became the first transgender person on the cover of the U.S. edition of Elle and was named to the TIME 100 list of the world’s most influential people. I was hired because they absolutely adored my work and the aesthetic I bring to it.

The centerpiece was a private Indya Moore photoshoot at the hotel. That meant bringing a complete studio to the Halcyon Hotel: backdrop, lighting, stands, and everything else needed to shoot privately. On top of the private shoot, I also covered the event side as a Denver event photographer, with red carpet photography, step and repeat photography, and photographic coverage of an interview with Indya Moore.
