A photographer friend who was originally booked for this session got called out of town and asked me to step in for Layah, former Mrs. Colorado — so I did. I didn’t walk in with a tight concept, just a feeling I wanted to chase: drama. Strong light, strong poses, a little edge to everything. Sometimes the best shoots come from just trusting your instinct in the moment.
